About Ken
Having grown up in the 48th District, attending Jefferson County Public Schools (Wilder, Kammerer, Ballard), serving as Louisville Metro Councilman from 2003-2014 and as State Representative for District 48 for four (4) terms, Ken understands the issues facing his neighbors and leverages his business and government experience to stand up for families.
For many years, Ken managed his family’s aerial surveying and mapping company and was elected as national president of his business association working with state and federal government officials. He developed the skill of fixing problems, finding solutions and creating opportunities to better serve his clients. Prior to running his company, he was in the finance industry for 10 years.
After selling their company, Ken was called to applied his business skills to manage a not-for-profit mental health counseling center that helps clients navigate life’s challenges including depression, anxiety, and addiction and now oversees another not-for-profit organization that serves backside workers in the horse industry.
Ken has served in many leadership positions both in the private and public sectors, championed and passed bi-partisan legislation while serving as Louisville Metro Councilman and State Representative. He has coached middle and high school girls’ sports and has volunteered his time to not-for-profit human service organizations as well as served as an elder at his church. Ken has been influenced by the strong women in his family which served as a basis for him to push for legislation and programs to help families.
Ken and his wife, Ann, have raised two daughters and he enjoys precious time with his family, at the beach, and flying.
